Hi all, i am going to have a look at a c320 saloon tomorrow any thing in particular i should be aware of ?

it has 120,000 and full history apparently.

2005 is the facelift model.

Typical issues (not engine related)

SRS - the Front Seat Occupancy Sensor tends to fail.

ESP - Steering Angle Sensor tends to fail

If the car has electrically folding wing mirrors, then the loom inside tends to break.

If 5-gear auto gearbox, then the Pilot Bush can leak.

If you can, take to someone with STAR who will check for faults codes, and also have a look under the car to see that it is dry and not rusty (brake pipes / exhaust)

I had a 2006 W203 and the above is from personal experience... but mine was C180 (1.8L petrol) so I can't comment on any potential issues with C320 engine.

Dont just look at if it has been stamped.. see what work has actually been done. Have the additional service items been changed. I wouldnt worry about the engine at that mileage...

Have you checked what advisories are showing on the MOT?

thanks for the comments chaps, mot history looks very good no comments about corrosion or many fails in its past. almost no advisorys too.

i do most of the work on my cars, but i dont have anything that can read fault codes.

am a fan of 202s and this would be my first 203.
