I cut one to fit from heavy cord carpet. Very very durable for protecting the floor, though not waterproof.

Got one of these Boot Buddy Product Categories for mine and still going strong after nearly 7 years and they cover the side carpets

Have a look on eBay, we got a 'non-slip' one there for our C Class estate that's been great ... under £30 with postage. Fits exactly and has a raised lip around the edge.
