Hi all,
Popped to the Supermarket the other day and the engine sounded like a load of bolts being shook in a biscuit tin, popped the bonnet but the light was fading,so could not get the best look, but when you stand in front of the car the top pully is I think the power steering pump, but the pully right below this has play and think its the bearing in this pully thats causing the racket, as I say it was dusk so am I right in guerssing its the water pump or is there an idler pully?

It's normally the air-con compressor.
There's usually a diagram of the belt layout in the User Manual

There will be both idler pulleys and a tensioner.
Will have a better look when the dam weather gives me a break, but forecast seems better for this week, it may be an idler pully as car is running great and its from cold it sounds the worst

Sounds like an idler pulley/tensioner. Your best bet would be to change them all together with the belt, I did mine last year and went the whole hog and did the water pump and alternator clutch pulley.
