2005 German 'Autobahn Adventure' - Brabus Factory and Nürburgring

They may still have the twin turbo's that they fitted to a version of my car. Brabus never sold the car thought it was to fast.

I would love to fit a Nissan RB26DETT into a 190e. 2.6 litres of twin turbo goodness.

Hi All,

Germany is calling! :D
It's been a while since we done a German GTG, and speaking to a few forum members it's time to start planning the next one...

If numbers are good, we have the opportunity to visit the BRABUS factory and Nürburgring in a three/four day top-notch excursion.

Count me in! +wife (date dependant of course)

The Bicester massive (all two of us) of to DE. Cool.

So are we it from the forum? I should'nt be surprised really, most Mercs in Bicester are just passing through!!! ;)

Well, there is a classic just like in your picture just around the corner from me and I see a silver C43 heading out of Bicester on the A41 towards Aylesbury every few weeks but that's it.

A shame, as when I was looking to change to an Audi TT, there were loads of people on the forum in Biecster.

Anyway, we will have to set the trend.

Does he want to sell it? ;)

Yeah a friend of mine is looking to get rid of his Porsche (round the corner from you) for a CLK55 (he saw my CLK and now wants one too, typical) if he can find one. He's up for the GTG as well . . . if he finds one that is.

As before depending on dates, etc - dont wanna make this difficult for the organisers of this trip but for us folk living "up north" it would be quicker and easier to make a ferry crossing from Hull to Rotterdam/Zeebruger and we can meet you at Bottrop/Nurgurgring!! If this is difficult perhaps it would be better just to quote us hotel rooms only for us up here and we can book the ferry crossing ourselves. What do you think Maff?

Probably be better for those who want to travel by Ferry from 'up north' to arrange/co-ordinate that part themselves (maybe worthwile for someone to act as co-ordinator who will be travelling that route, to keep things simple) and then meet us at the 'ring hotel.

I'll still arrange hotels for us all.

If anyone else up north, other than mbz 6 would prefer this route then thats fine, just let me know nearer the time when it comes to booking the Eurotunnel.

Regards,

Matt.

For me - it'll all come down to cost and dates but otherwise - yes Hull-Zeebrugge/Rotterdam would be good :D

This thread may go quiet for while becuase we can't set the dates for the trip until Nürburgring announce their 2005 dates later on this year. Once they annouce next years open days, we can agree some dates with Brabus and fit the rest of the trip together with the hotels etc.

Watch this space!

Regards,

Matt.

PS. Only 4 - 5 more spaces left, so put your name down now if your sitting on the fence!! (15 cars are ideal, 20 absolute max)

woppee........ here we go again....... :D

Team leader is back on the case..........
And I see my old room mate is signed up.
All we need is the wheather now.................

Lets go......................

Me please. Dependent on dates though.

Yay! This is going to be a great trip! Ze gang is back togezer!

Might be interested, depends on a lot of things, inc having found a MB by then !!!

A little tip for the Tunnel. If you depart from the UK after 14.00 and your return is before 14.00 then it is much cheaper. Worth bearing in mind.

I dont know what's worse, the wait for a new car, or the 4 month wait for the German GTG! :D :bannana:

Waiting for the car surely. :D You can drive to Germany anytime!
I can't wait to goto Germany either, going in December for a concert in Dusseldorf with a "detour" to Berlin. This will be the first time in a very long time driving a Merc on the autobahn. The last time was in 91' in the 280SE . . . . :(
140mph . . .

For those of you that didn't make it last time, here's a pic of ze gang:
