Car
ex-CLS55, now LC500, Stinger, Honda e
2005 CLS55 AMG V8 Kompressor.
£15950 or offers.
62,000 miles.
Handbuilt AMG 5.5 litre supercharged engine producing 476 bhp.
Body : designo varicolour Mystic Red paint.
Interior : designo Mystic Red nappa leather, designo Alcantara roof lining in Pebble, designo Umbra Maple grain wood trim, matching designo Umbra Maple wood/leather gearshift.
All were extra cost options.

On top of that every single available extra (except an ashtray, blue solar windscreen and a garage door opener) was ordered from the factory when new. List price added up to £87,000 – in 2005!

Full Mercedes main dealer history with 8 stamps in the book plus receipts from 2014 to date.

The car is mechanically standard with the exception of an exhaust X pipe and C63 rear sections. Louder on startup and much louder on full throttle but quiet on a cruise. No difference to my insurance when disclosed.

The interior is a stunning combination, and the paint colour and fleck amaze in the sunshine, varying from a deep blue/purple to an iridescent pearl red. Find another like this!

The options decoded from the chassis number, excluding the paint/trim options, are :
19” 5 spoke AMG wheels (standard wheels were 18”)
Comfort vented seats (cooled and heated)
Distronic (radar cruise control)
Dynamic seats (back massage and inflatable bolsters on cornering)
Glass sunroof (electric)
Rear roller blind (electric)
Heated rear seats
Keyless go (2 keys and RFID security pouch supplied with car)
Parktronic (parking sensors F&R)
Remote boot closure (drivers doorcard, bootlid or on key)
Rear airbags
Fire extinguisher
Tyre pressure monitoring (currently disabled)
6 CD dash changer
Comand (clever computer, satnav etc)
Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound
TV Tuner (now outdated!)
Linguatronic (voice control – never used!)
Phone prewire (in centre armrest with a Bluetooth puck thing I’ve never used)

Maintenance :
8 Mercedes services, last at 61265 miles (A service) 5/19
Supercharger oil changed 01/18
Software update engine and gearbox ECUs 5/18
Geometry check 6/17
Gearbox oil and filter at 47000 miles 1/16
Anything other than servicing since I’ve owned the car has been done by Nick Webster Mercedes specialists of Poynton – they’re ex-MB and really know their stuff.
Tyres :
Goodyear Eagle F1 all round. Correct OEM sizes.
Other bits :
Original designo badged floormats in great condition.
I’ve added a DAB receiver, the control unit is hidden in the ashtray.
Hardwired boot mounted Optimate battery conditioner with 13A plug.
Original tyre compressor and tools etc all complete.
Both keys.
The Comand unit can be replaced with up to date units offering Google maps, Android, Apple Carplay etc (same dash as the E Class W211) but I decided to keep it standard.

Paperwork :
A4 binder containing all receipts since 2014, original stamped service book from new, old MOTs, all factory manuals, book pack and original Mercedes folder.
Original hard backed 2005 CLS sales brochure, price and options list and designo book listing the customisable designo options that were chosen.
A very rare Mercedes Benz Vision CLS press pack dating from 2003, when the Vision CLS Concept that became the CLS was first shown to the public.

I had the wing and rear badges removed when I bought the car, and the lower side panels (clearcoat damage) and rear bumper (scratches) repainted by a top quality bodyshop. The paint is very unique, but I was amazed to find it can be matched as easily as standard colours just by using the colour code.
A professional detail, paint correction and coating was carried out in 2018, topped up this year.
Non smokers car, and we do have a dog but she’s never been in this car.
The internet says these cars are not subject to ULEZ or T-Charge emissions charges.

This is a 2005 model so it’s about £200 cheaper to tax than late 2006 cars.
At or close to asking price I can include the E16HTK plate, or it can go back onto the original ‘05 plate.

If I had the space to keep this car I genuinely would – I love it to bits, as does my wife – and that’s unheard of! I am only selling as we’re planning to drive to southern Europe regularly with the kids and dog. Regretful sale sums it up.

Viewing :
No groups, no underbonnet access unless I am under there with you, I drive unless you’ve already paid me, I keep the keys etc etc. Please don’t mess me about, life’s too short. My best price is the advert price, unless you’re stood in front of me. Thank you.

This is a beautiful car, in what is possibly a genuinely unique spec, with a great history and in great condition. Good examples of the CLS55 can only go one way blah blah – there are only 350 in the UK - but honestly I can’t see cars like this depreciating much more. Sorry for the length of the ad but hopefully most questions are covered.
If you are considering one, you need to see this car. Any further questions just ask - hopefully the PM system will work ok.
