Made the mistake of locking car at garage before filler cap was closed. Now it won't unlock. Already taken the RHS interior side panel off and can see (and felt - as in "ouch") the actuator is moving back and forwards as it should when key is pressed. Seems as if the metal pin that secures the filler cap (when locked) has come away from the actuator - is that possible ? If so any ideas on how to overcome or at least get the flap open again so I can try and fix ?

Fortunately just filled up !!

Have managed to get the filler flap open. Took out the ¼ twist rubber surround item shown left in attached photo and have now removed the slim metal pin (to avoid a repeat). Does anyone happen to know if this small assembly is a replaceable item please?

Try lubricating the pin and hole, and flap door hole as well then reinstall the actuator , leave the fuel flap open and then lock and unlock the car several times to test if it is working properly again.
It might just be a lubrication problem and not a fault.
If you aren’t happy with the result then remove the actuator again before closing the flap.
