Due to a change in work and circumstances I no longer need an Estate. I am also using this opportunity to downsize a little too as an Audi S5T Sportback came across my path that is ideal for what I need currently. I wasn't sure I would get on with it but it has pleasantly surprised me so have decided to keep it as my daily driver and to sell the E55K. Just a step down in size of car and engine but still practical enough for what I need now. Still also an interesting enough car for the car enthusiast too. It doesn't quite have the same feel or heft of the E55K Estate, with its gargantuan powerplant but still a very decent car to drive/own.
I spent a heck of a long time lurking, lingering and waiting for a nice S211 E55K to come onto the market a couple of years back, that wasn't Brilliant Silver! When it did, I moved very quickly and bought it within 48 hours. Good E55K Estates especially in such a nice colour seem very rare in existence and very rare to hit the market. I know from experience and waiting for one for a very long time. It has been a great car and I have had four E55K Estates I think over the years. Always found myself coming back to them as find them a great blend of comfort, practicality but still being an interesting drivers car. Still modern enough but not too modern that the car is ruined by weight and copious levels of safety features! I prefer buttons to touch screens and happy to drive the car myself, also open/close the car myself, rather than the car doing it
I have just had a fresh MOT and Service completed @ PCS in the last couple of weeks. Prior to this, I dropped it down to Terry @ Wayne Gates a while after I bought it, for an MOT, Service but also to run through the car and replace anything that he felt needed addressing. That was the best part of £3k but I wanted to know that there were no major issues with the car and that it would drive as well as it could.
I always like to prepare my cars well for sale so just going through any issues to resolve any. Also to get it cleaned, polished and looking in fine fettle ready for its next buyer. I am always very honest and transparent with my cars so happy to work with any forum member to find a price that works for both sides. I know the market pretty well and know decent examples of these cars are very rare now. Especially not in Brilliant Silver!
I'll put some pics up shortly with a description/details of the car. Also details of all the service history from new. I haven't advertised the car on any public sites just yet and won't do for a bit, to give any forum members the chance to buy before it hits the market. Would be nice to see it say in the forum.
Not 100% sure on the price just yet as just working out what if any issues there are. Also playing that game of what you spend/replace, balancing with listing for a higher price or not doing some things and pricing lower. I am sure we have all been there so depends on the person I guess as to levels of expectations or desires. I know it is a good car but it is a 20 year old car at circa less than a quarter of its new value so won't ever be a perfect as new car.
I'm in no rush to sell as have the S5 now that I am using, so happy to sell quickly or slowly as required.
Any questions or further info needed just let me know.
