Due to a change in work and circumstances I no longer need an Estate. I am also using this opportunity to downsize a little too as an Audi S5T Sportback came across my path that is ideal for what I need currently. I wasn't sure I would get on with it but it has pleasantly surprised me so have decided to keep it as my daily driver and to sell the E55K. Just a step down in size of car and engine but still practical enough for what I need now. Still also an interesting enough car for the car enthusiast too. It doesn't quite have the same feel or heft of the E55K Estate, with its gargantuan powerplant but still a very decent car to drive/own.

I spent a heck of a long time lurking, lingering and waiting for a nice S211 E55K to come onto the market a couple of years back, that wasn't Brilliant Silver! When it did, I moved very quickly and bought it within 48 hours. Good E55K Estates especially in such a nice colour seem very rare in existence and very rare to hit the market. I know from experience and waiting for one for a very long time. It has been a great car and I have had four E55K Estates I think over the years. Always found myself coming back to them as find them a great blend of comfort, practicality but still being an interesting drivers car. Still modern enough but not too modern that the car is ruined by weight and copious levels of safety features! I prefer buttons to touch screens and happy to drive the car myself, also open/close the car myself, rather than the car doing it :)

I have just had a fresh MOT and Service completed @ PCS in the last couple of weeks. Prior to this, I dropped it down to Terry @ Wayne Gates a while after I bought it, for an MOT, Service but also to run through the car and replace anything that he felt needed addressing. That was the best part of £3k but I wanted to know that there were no major issues with the car and that it would drive as well as it could.

I always like to prepare my cars well for sale so just going through any issues to resolve any. Also to get it cleaned, polished and looking in fine fettle ready for its next buyer. I am always very honest and transparent with my cars so happy to work with any forum member to find a price that works for both sides. I know the market pretty well and know decent examples of these cars are very rare now. Especially not in Brilliant Silver!

I'll put some pics up shortly with a description/details of the car. Also details of all the service history from new. I haven't advertised the car on any public sites just yet and won't do for a bit, to give any forum members the chance to buy before it hits the market. Would be nice to see it say in the forum.

Not 100% sure on the price just yet as just working out what if any issues there are. Also playing that game of what you spend/replace, balancing with listing for a higher price or not doing some things and pricing lower. I am sure we have all been there so depends on the person I guess as to levels of expectations or desires. I know it is a good car but it is a 20 year old car at circa less than a quarter of its new value so won't ever be a perfect as new car.

I'm in no rush to sell as have the S5 now that I am using, so happy to sell quickly or slowly as required.

Any questions or further info needed just let me know.

A few starter pics. More to come.

This is a sheet of the documented Service History from new.
I have all the invoices/receipts all bound in a nice A4 ring binder and also scanned then saved as a PDF if anyone wanted it e-mail across.
Not sure I can post it here as will likely be quite a large file.

I've had a couple of offers so far but not quite where I would like to be so haven't accepted these just yet.

I've listed it on Ebay as well now and set a price of £16,995. Will see what the market thinks of this and go from there. It is a pretty rare thing to find easily these days but very hard to compare or work out what it is worth.

I cleared all personal effects out yesterday and moved into the S5. Gave the E55K a nice thorough clean yesterday then popped in the garage now safe and sound.

I don't need to sell immediately or quickly so happy to wait to find its next owner over time. I'm realistic as to its value but it is not a distressed or urgent sale so I don't need to give it away.

I can look to resolve the parking sensor and keyless go handle issue over time, that will only increase its value or saleability from where it is now. Time will tell, as it always does ;)

I've also got an original Mercedes roof rack set & key that comes with the car. Also the rear storage unit that goes in the boot behind the back seats that is sometimes missing.

Some pics of the alloys. A couple of minor blemishes on the rear alloys but the fronts look perfect. They look in great overall condition to me and not needing a refurb.

I had the rear tyres replaced recently and the fronts have plenty of tread on them. Matching Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres all round.

Never noticed this before but there is a hole in the Service Book between 2012 & 2019 so the Service Book only shows 13 Services. When there has been many more and actually a total of 18 Services. So the first 12 Services from 2005>2016 were all Mercedes Main Dealer. Then the remaining 6 Services from 2017>2025 were Mercedes Specialist/Indy.

Just goes to show that just the Service Book or Invoices alone cannot always tell the full picture. Sometimes looking at both the Service Book and Invoices to combine them can only tell the full picture.

I've made a full PDF of all Service History invoices & documents from new to a Google Drive. If anyone would like a copy or a link please feel free to drop me a message.

Had another offer yesterday but none have been quite interesting enough that I felt compelled to accept just yet. Patience is a virtue ;)

Replaced all 4 of the rear parking sensors and all working a treat now with no errors.

Only the two right ones had issues it seems but made sense to change all 4 for new ones. They all look cosmetically the same now. The old ones looked a little oxidised and jaded.
