2005 sl 350 command nav graphics

I have a 2005 (55) sl350 with full command. I also have a cls55 with the same system and used to have a 2004 E500 also with the same system.
However the nav graphics in both the E500 and cls were / are far far superior to the SL even thoughthey are the same system and the SL between the other two in age.
Its not the nav disc as if I swap the one from the cls to the SL the graphics are still awful (no colour and very simplistic.
Is there a firmware update to improve the graphics and if so what is the proceedure to install it (on the E it was pres 3,5,8 at the same time on the head unit and insert disc but that doesnt work on the SL)
Anyone done anything similar on an R230 2005-2008?

There is a firmware update disk. W220 589 05 22 00

I'd recommend only installing from an original disk, with a big stable battery charger connected. And we've had one SL fail and write off the COMAND unit.

I know it improves some telephone stuff, I don't know what else it does. I assume you have a current map disk (since that contents nav processor software)

Thanks for that Richard. Yes I have the latest MB 2017 update nav disc which has good graphics when used in my CLS55 but totally different (rubbish) graphics when in the SL so its not the disc. I also have a firmware update disc which I used in my 2005 E500 in order to get eta premanently on the screen. I did this by pressing 3,5,8 all at the same time and inserting the disc. Worked perfectly first time. But those numbers dont work on the SL.
Guess I will just have to stick with the mickey mouse graphics in the SL....or drive the CLS! Thanks anyway.
