2005 SLK R171 COMAND plays MP3's???

I have recently ordered my first SLK from dealer and have been told I Will have to wait until next allocations become available - suppose this give me more time to think about optional extras.
Anyway - I have read on some sites that the COMAND system in the new SLK can play MP3 cd's and even DVD's. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me? Would save on the glove CD player if so!

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi,

First thing I did in a the demo SLK was check a DVD with MP3 - can confirm worked fine had 900+ tracks on it - the salesman was impressed!

By the way I have noticed that some countries are offering the CD changer in the boot - although one MP3 DVD will hold more tracks than 6 MP3 CDs.

Put the £350 to something more interesting!
