2005 W211 Parking Light

A message popped up in the instrument panel of my 2005 E320 W211, saying something to the effect, “Front LH parking light failure”, or words to that effect.
Is this something relatively easy to correct, by a reasonably competent DIYer ? How is access gained to remove and replace the faulty bulb ? What sort of bulb is required ?

Parking light bulbs are usually W5W 5w wedge-type:

If you can access the back of the headlamp inside the engine bay, there should be a black plastic cap that you can remove and the bulb will be behibd it.

Your handbook should give details of the bulb type and procedure.

If it is like the C Class then it is a 5 minute job, unclip headlamp bulb cover, remove connector by gently pulling with bulb attasched, replace bulb etc.
