I am still using a 2001 disk with my Command in the CLK.

I have ordered the UK- Ireland 2006/7 CD.

Can those who are using the current disk tell me how you find it i.e. does it have better graphics and can you punch in postcodes instead of full addresses.

You won't notice much difference in the way it funcitons as far as I can remember. The main difference is the postcode entry! I upgraded in my S class and the Comand didn't like the disk. It would eventually read it but would spit it out several times beforehand. It took me a while to find the postcode entry because there is no search by postcode entry, you have to enter the postcode in the city list, so instead of typing in London youwould type in WC2N etc.... It is a good upgrade though!

Graphics are the same. There is the added advantage of TMC, warning of traffic hold ups ahead. I believe you have to actually specify TMC when ordering.

If you can't do so already the disk has 'predictive' addresses, i.e when you put in an address it only offers you valid 'next letters' rather than offering you all of a-z and 0-9 each time - makes address entry much easier.

Your COMAND will *may* need the MY01 software upgrade done to it before that works though, although being a 2002 may already have that ability - its as simple as inserting a special disk., holding down some keys and waiting - I suggest you talk to Alfie (pm him on this forum, although I beleive he's rather busy and may be not his normal instant response) -

For anyone else reading this thread, remember that Alfie (www.comand.co.uk) is also a Teleatlas distributor and is competitively priced

Cheers

Richard

Thanks for your input all you guys.

I did indeed order the ITMC CD

Luckily my command has the current software whereby it allows predictive text and logo and all that.

I should have spoken to Alfi before I ordered my disk.

I would rather give my business to a fellow member and next time I will bare it in mind.
