Hi everyone,
I'm new to all this but find it very helpful, could someone please help me with pics and info on removing my radio to install a "parrot ck3200" that will work with the steering wheel controls, the unit I have is an "audio 20" I have no idea if its amplified or not but it has a single cd player.
I am happy with the wiring part but removing the radio is daunting when one hasn't a clue where to start.
Thanks for your help:wallbash:

I think the Audio 20 is secured with a screw at each corner.

To get to which you need to take off the switch block to get to the top ones (delicate lever off job)

To get to the bottom screws you need to release the gear lever surround, take out the ashtray and remove the air con controls.

Not as tough as it sounds.... but more involved than extractor tools

HI Baron Samedi,
Thanks for info, I'm just not sure how you get to that stage ie' getting the access to remove the 2 screws holding the audio 20.
I have seen some pics in stages on how to take the air vents out etc but pressed the wrong button and lost it, not too good with pc's but improving, will keep looking.
thanks to Renault12ts also but it would be so much easier if removal keys were needed.
I just don't see the point in paying £300 for a parrot and fitting when I can buy a parrot CK 3001 for £47. and a CAN8 box for £60 which will work with the steering wheel controls and do the job, the installing is the worry, Hey Ho! thanks for your help.

Here is link to Merc Upgrades description of how to remove console & radio in a W203 facelift...I followed this and managed to do ok.....removing the top vents a bit fiddly but can be done without need for any special tools with care. Removal keys not a necessity...I did mine with a small screwdriver.

This is the way to do it

Alex.

Instead of a small screwdriver, someone on here use the little hooked tool in the document pack supplied for resetting the headrests.
