CLK 320 CDI
Hi
I've just bought a face lift 2006 clk 320cdi to replace more or less the same car which is likely to be scrapped.
The old ones has some bits the new ones doesn't.
Old one has factory sat nav, power adjustable steering, powered drivers seat, heated front seats.

Is any of that easily retrofitable before I look to scrap the old one?
If it involves needing to change the instument cluster for the satnav, will that mess with the millage ?

The button panel seem to be exactly the same except no heated seat buttons.

The new interior is part leather the old one is full leather but I think the leather colour matches, certainly similar enough i think i could change all the seats, but changing just the non powered passenger seat would leave a mismatch.

Made it home ok ? All good I take it :)

The rear seats and passenger will be a straight swap. It's a pain to retrofit electric seats so will be easier to just swap over the covers from the electric seat to the manual one. They fit straight on bar making a hole for the manual back winder.

For the heated seats you will need to replace the switch panel with the one from your original car and remove the 2 looms that go from the switch panel to the seats. Not difficult but fiddly and time consuming. Once fitted in the new car they need activating by star , sure prestige pcs could sort for you.

Don't know about the command sat Nav but most people usually go aftermarket. It won't work unless your old car has HK audio though as the new car does , sure other people have done it though. Even if you go aftermarket a different amp is required as the HK amp is fibre optic.

Retrofitting a electric column would be a massive undertaking and really not worth the effort.

Hope you enjoy, Brett

By the way the scrapper is not a sport model is it as that will have ortho seats ?

Oh Hi
