One of three as far as I'm aware and at a very good price. Some nice Designo options though I'd prefer the lighter headlining for some contrast. Doesn't have the ventilated seats like mine though has the electric roller blind which I haven't got. Looks standard apart from the wheel colour. Someone buy it!

aoart from the steering wheel, how do you know it has performance pack? what does that include?

Wheels and massive front discs give it away but I checked the datacard to be sure.

CLS55 AMG Performance Package (Option Code 030)

AMG front bumper wth special mesh inset and body modifications for rear tyres

Alcantara AMG sport steering wheel

186 mph (300 km/h) top speed (electronically limited)

AMG "Nurburgring" suspension system (control arms and stabilizers)

- AMG Compound front brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated
15.4" two-piece discs with AMG 8-piston calipers

AMG rear brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated
13.7" two-piece discs with AMG 4-piston calipers

AMG 19-inch twin-spoke multipiece alloy wheels with high performance tyres
- Front: 8.5 x 19 inch 255 35 ZR 19
- Rear: 10 x 19 inch 285 30 ZR 19

AMG Locking rear differential

I wonder how much a pair of these cost.

£1300 give or take.

Just another overpriced modded 55 or am I missing something?

No you are not.

Just throwing in another 55 that has apparently sold for a good price but with performance mods, balanced against one with PP.

Prices seem variable at the moment...

Jules.

What did it sell for? £20k for a 70k mile CLS55 seems way over the top - modified / PP or otherwise.

Not sure but it sold within 48 hours of the advert going up, however the advert is still active so maybe the sale fell through.

I think people will pay for something if it is different, in this case it has a fair few modifications, proven performance and then all the usuals such as MB history etc, also helps that it may be in very good condition, which is hard to tell until you view.

Yo could pay £14k-£15k for a std spec version and then spend £4k-£5k on mods, plus you may have some unknown spends that need taking care of.....so works out approx same price but less hassle for some :dk:

Equally modified cars attract a limited numbers of buyers. Quite a few modded 55s have sat there for months with no buyers. Adorning a car with fake bits of carbon isn't a selling point IMO.

Very true, but I was referring more to the mechanical upgrades as opposed to the bolt on body parts.

I think the PP will sell, the low mileage will help. the prestige of PP will possibly be similar to your IWC example (do you still have it?), some will like it and see it as a premium, others won't.

Jules.

The only mechanical upgrades the one at Sterlings has is a modified pulley - everything else is cosmetic.

I've not owned an IWC?

Apologies, I thought you'd bought the IWC 55 but now see you bought the PP recently.

It also has uprated IC pump, cooler plugs, upgraded leads / packs, upgraded Heat Exchanger, BMC filters and bespoke EC map. Yes it does have the upgraded SC pulley also.

It also has W215 wheels, which would look great on your CLS Sean  :thumb:

They're R230 wheels Peter.

Makes a bit more sense then. When I enquired they told me it had had a pulley upgrade that was all. How much would it cost to fit that lot - £2k?

£2-£2.5k on the cheap, but think it also has the upgraded tensioners / idler pullies, belts etc and possibly more....It helps knowing what the parts are and who has done the work / map. There are some cars advertised at 600bhp, but this can be a guess as it may just have had a crank pulley and map, plus the seller doesn't always know where it was done and by whom....but nothing else, so in my eyes more risky.
