I purchased the car 2.5 years ago at 41,000 miles and since then I have travelled a further 32,000 faultless miles – the car has been a dream to own and so it should have been as I have tried to keep it to the best standard possible with no expense spared.
When I first got the car at 41,000 miles I took it straight for a service that was Service A and with it I ensured the auto gearbox fluid was changed too. (Service carried out at knightswood service centre (known specialist on here– Stephen is the owner, MB trained for over 20 years)
Then last year I had a Service B done and with it a whole host of other items such as suspension parts, rear discs/pads etc. Many will say I could have got a couple more years out of these parts but for me I like to keep things tip top, they were showing wear so I approved for them to be replaced – it’s a Mercedes S class and it should drive a certain way. I travel with my family in this car so anything but tip top is not acceptable. (service carried out at Merparts, again you know who they are)
This years’ service was a Service C – besides the usual service it required rear pads, front disks and pads. During installation the specialist apparently managed to get the callipers to unstick however while using it across a few days I felt the car was not behaving. I took it back within a week and they could see they were still sticking – I asked them to replace both callipers as they were both doing it (common issue). This brought the bill to 1.8k. (service done at knightswood service centre) – Again all Mercedes genuine parts.
The car is almost 10 years old now so there are age related marks but overall it’s in excellent condition. Alloys have minimal kerb marks – I think 3 have none and 1 is a small 1cm mark. I am a stickler for vibrations and issues with wheels and these are spotless, true and round, no buckles/kinks and have been road force balanced on a hunter machine, (if you don’t know what this is that read up on it)
Approx 6 months ago the front bumper had a small peeling of lacquer – went to a car wash and with the pressure washer it stripped off quite a bit – I could not sell the car like this so 1 month ago it was fully resprayed by an excellent body specialist.

I have priced the car with what I think is a fair price – there are more expensive cars and cheaper cars but I think for the car/age/millage/genuine life and the way it has been maintained it is very fair.
To put in context, the car is cheaper than the options that were added to the car when new.
