Hey guys, First off Sorry if i sound like a total newb.

But i just realised today that my wifes clk wont rev past 3900 rpm, and it feels as though it has no power at all. I swear it takes something ridiculous like 16 seconds to get to 100kmh

any ideas? I am no expert at cars so even the obvious solutions might work.

Cheers.

it may have gone into limp mode. any warning lights/messages on the dash?

nope no warnings / messages.

EDIT: when I step on it fully, it will go to 4,100(ish) rpm for a second or 2 an come back down to 3900rpm. But it has never gone past 4300rpm

huh, dont know why but i cant edit my post.

Anyway I just went for another drive. Let me try to re-explain the problem.

The acceleration of the car is really really slow. if I go WOT. It will take a long time to hit 4000rpm. Doesnt matter which gear I use ( auto ) .

And if I use full auto, and start WOT from say 40kmh it will hit 3,500 rpm in what i believe to be the normal acceleration time and then slowly go to 4,000 rpm and jump back down to 3,000 rpm. It does this until it hits the final gear and when it hits the final gear the acceleration is painfully slow.

Ps sorry for my horrible english. It isnt my first language.
