2007 headlamp upgrade to 2002 C32 AMG

Hi all, I've fitted 2007 lamps, plugged in the elongated "D" connections, but I'm getting intermittent use of the dipped beams and the main, can anyone tell me if I need a loom conversion or something, this is obviously not the way forward, any help would be ace guys.

Doozer, seriously, give us all a chance !

So, is the technology the same - have you fitted halogens where there were halogens before or have you switched to Xenons ?

Do you get any error messages on the dashboard ?

There is extra wiring if you have Xenon from the headlamp to the range control motors, but a quick look at the circuit diagrams it seems the wiring doesn't look like its changed at all for headlights between 02 and 07

Good show Richard,
The Lamps I removed were some sort of OE HID, they had a ballast pack screwed to the bottom of the lamp unit supplying the main beam and halogen dipped beam, and we're diffuser lensed.
The new set are standard H7 halogens with clear lenses, for both dipped and main, and yes mate, I get an error message whenever a lamp is out.

I wonder if the car had been configured for Xenon and this is confusing the control unit (front SAM)
