Hi,

I've recently acquired a 2007 Vito Dualiner which has a slight leak from the rear 3rd brake light (abouve the rear door). I've taken the brake light off (three screws) and found a hole about the size of a 20p piece through which the cable runs. Should this aperture have some sort of grommit ? I can't find any reference to it anywhere and would like to fit the correct part rather than bunging a load of silicone in the hole.

You would think so wouldn't you? No sign of one being fitted or the cable being out? Without taking it off and looking I wouldn't know. It would seem sensible to fit one both as seal and against wear but surely any one that fits would do including Halfords best.

No grommet is fitted, if you look at the light it has a gasket type seal the covers the hole.
Re fit it with silicon grease from any plumbing centre for a leak free light.

Thanks for the responses. The light does have an extrusion, but it doesn't seem to be long enough to offer a seal. I think the silicone gun could be getting some use....

Cheers
Chris
