2007 w203 c180 left wing mirror led light issue

hi everyone been having some problems with the electrics on my 2007 w203 c180 left wing mirror the indicator doesn't work and cannot ajust the mirror I am new to the c class and don't know my way around it yet can anyone tell me if this is a common fault with these cars or where I start to look I have bench tested the led lights and they appear to work fine hope someone can help.

A common fault is that the wires break where the mirrors fold in.
You can't see the break as the insulation remains intact.

ok thanks ted I guess I will have to unwrap some of the loom to find it thanks for the advice.

Hi Ted just a quick update undone a part of the loom low and behold a massive kink in the cables cut back and soldered them and now good to go thankyou once again for advice.
