Hi guys I have the above when she’s warmed up with fairly good response she will then become quite unresponsive and no get up and go , I can quite often cycle the key and re set it with no eml light however it will do this about five times and then the dreaded orange light makes an appearance. When I use a generic code reader it comes up with two things either on its own or two things one mentions boost and the other is a maff issue , I have taken a look at the air intake and intercooler
Pipework and it all looks fine other than a small hose from the pcv from rocker case to the intake hose with a small sensor in it was very loose with quite a bit of oil having leaked from it , once this was changed the fault after being deleted still occurs so I am after some guidance on what to look for next , I have checked the turbo it has free movement and no spindle play and the electrically operated boost actuator moves freely with slight motor resistance in its operation which to my mind seems to be satisfactory , help any one on where to go next please ?

Yeah I was thinking maf too having done the air check …

ok so update on my 111 ,i have had it scanned and was told very little other than there is a boost issue so i took the bull by the horns and replaced the maf sensor and the electronic boost control module ,i have stripped the egr which looked fairly new but thoroughly cleaned it any way, i inspected every inch of the ducting and pipe work for leaks ,all i could find was a slightly loose hose clamp on the intake of the turbo. all this done and taken back after fault re occuring and still a boost issue flagged up again.
The fault only happens after doing an initial 7 or 8 miles when it has warmed up it will not boost when additonal power is demanded going up hil but up until that moment it will work a good as gold ,being a simple setup and not many sensors involved all i can work out is it must be the wastegate valve within the turbo perhaps ? ,i used a proprietry catalytic and system cleaner product and it seemed to improve for a small time until the issue returned again ....is it the turbo / wastegate ? im lost now and missing the get up and go ,when its not working its just like driving a normally asperated diesel where you have to wind it up through the gears and take a run up at hills and seriously work the gear box (Auto) to keep a driveable speed.

any further pointers will be gratefully appreciated
best regards
Shawn

DTC P0299 Turbocharger /supercharger Underboost was the latest read off of the code ,any ideas folks please ?

m80 hi there yes i have replaced the electronic actuator which leads me to thinking the wastegate spindle is possibly fubarred and not returning to closed position properly maybe ?
currently pricing up a replacement turbo .......

I've been running an after market for about 30k miles.

But if you strip yours down you might find it will clean up some, and open / close freely. If it is sticking.

m80, thats reassuring to know ,i did use a prorietry cleaner and it did improve things for about a week then it crept back again,as i said i dont know which engine was fitted when it was replaced so i fear it could be tricky getting the right one if i ever had too replace it so you have thrown me a very welcome bone indeed !
