Hi guys, new to site, just looking to see if anyone has had any problems with the heater
in a b class(recently bought as a 2nd car) now the cold weather is upon us, struggling to drive and keep the windows clear, any advice would be appreciated, many thanks in advance

If windows are staying fogged on the inside, most likely the problem is water ingress, unless the actual heater is not working?

You can check the drains, particularly one under the cabin filter - often overlooked and blocked, letting the water into a/c system and in extreme cases - down the battery compartment in the driver's footwell, which could result in all sorts of troubles ...

One other possible way for water to get in - two hatches behind the rear bumper, under the rear lights: sealant is really badly done on those, and it's a known problem. Bumper would have to come off to fix this, unfortunately. On W169 / C169 it is [just] possible to reach the top of the hatch with the rear light cluster out (and the bumper still on), not sure about W245.

The blower motor resistor is behind the trim at the top left side of the driver footwell (if you get no heat at all) - replacement OE parts on eBay for under £15.
