Hi
Ive just bought a 2008 CLC and was wondering is it possible to play MP3's on the standard CD unit.
If so how is there any particular method of burining.

Thanks

The on-line manual suggests you can only play MP3s using the CD changer;

Operating the CD player or CD changer*

You can only play MP3 CDs in the drive of the CD changer*.

Its under the "Audio Menu" section and should be in your car's manual.

Seems a bit daft; if you can use MP3s you don't really need the 6-CD capacity of a CD changer:crazy: .

cheers.

yer depending on what software you use for burning, go into your settings and select mp3 cd instead of audio cd. i know thats the case in wmp and itunes.

Just been down and tried a 'home-made' MP3 CD in a MY2009 CLC (just the standard Audio 20 - ie without CD changer, HK, or COMAND) and it worked straight away. The disc contained both 128 kb/s & 192 kb/s tracks and was produced from iTunes (ie import as MP3). Now, whether there has been an upgrade of the telematics since MY2008, I don't know but I suspect there may well have been because it also locked onto my mobile phone without one of those Bluetooth adapter thingys...

So I suggest trying the iTunes route if you haven't already...
