Hi All,
Last year I carried out a heated seat retro-fit on my 2008 CLC following the link below:
http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/howto/77821-heated-seats-w203.html
I carried out the retro fit exactly the same as the link, putting the passenger side heated seat pad on top of the occupancy sensor/ seat mat on the seat.....
Well, from day 1- as soon as I re fitted the seats, the car has thought there has been someone sitting in the passenger seat and bleeps until I plug the belt in..... So I put up with it and bought just a buckle off of eBay with every intention of stripping the seat down and playing around with the heat pad and mat to keep the car happy.
There have been no SRS lights on the dash, just the apply seat belt icon.... So tonight I finally got round to stripping the seat down.... I have now removed the heated seat pad and installed it under the occupancy sensor.... I have refitted the seat, no seat belt light..... All good...... Until I sat in the seat to test how hot the seat is getting now with the element under the occupancy sensor mat....... After I got out the seat it's back to how it was before....
Any ideas? Could it be a fault with the occupancy sensor? If so how much is the replacement? If it is the occupancy sensor at fault should I be seeing the SRS light?
Thanks in advance.
