Has anyone had this issue replacing a Sprinter headlight
The Sprinter is a 3 litre 518, owned from new 2008
and is the base vehicle for a motorhome
I simply need to fit new headlights as the ones fitted are
constantly condensation prone,
Had genuine Merc units delivered (using the VIN number for ordering
but the units supplied do not have the front fog light bulb facility,
The aperture where the fog light bulb should fit into is closed off
The headlight otherwise id identical,
after multiple phone calls to the Merc dealer stores,
they cannot identify the version fitted to my vehicle
and keep saying there must have been some change because it is a motorhome
I have explained that the MERC handbook that came with the van shows
exactly what I have fitted and also shows front fog lamps fitted in the lower front bumper
clearly saying that the lamps would be fitted in this lower position if the vehicles
registered as "passenger cars"
The Merc dealer stores keep assuming it is a different headlight simply because this is a motorhome
Although I keep telling them The MERC hand book shows pictures of how to change the fog lamp bulb
fitted to the main headlamp
Can ANYONE clarify if this Hella headlight was fitted to a standard Merc Sprinter
and ideally of which year
