Hello All,

I have the car and head unit as shown above with a 6cd Changer in the glovebox.

I want to replace the head unit with an Android unit, I have found a number of potentials but I need a little clarity before deciding which unit I should buy.

I don't have details of the full audio set up that was installed when new (Is there anywhere I can get this info online or elsewhere ?)

I believe that the CD Unit uses an optical connection.

According to specs for available Android units it seems that if I have external amps (external to the head unit) then I will need an optical convertor.

Can anybody advise whether I may need the optical connector or not, alternatively if anybody can provide a connection diagram ?

I really would appreciate any support that you can provide.

Many thanks

Paul
