Just bought a 2009 face-lift 320 CDI. The Bluetooth phone works fine but it wont play music from my phone.

There is a strange port in the centre arm rest and another in the passenger glove box. See photos.

Am I missing something?

The port in the glovebox is the multi-purpose socket for music. You can buy cables on eBay for about £5 which will connect to an iPod/iPhone, USB stick or an Aux headphone socket.

The port in the armrest was for connecting a MB phone or Bluetooth module. As your Comand has Bluetooth anyway, you don't need that for phone calls.

It is possible to play music from your phone via Bluetooth on that model, but the sound quality is atrocious - a bit like an old MW/LW radio.

Much better to buy a cable set for the glovebox and attach an iPod or USB stick. You can then forget about it and control tracks etc from your steering wheel and Comand controls.

Another alternative is to copy tracks onto DVDs and play through the multi-disc DVD player. You will be able to get many hundreds of albums onto the six(?) DVDs you can load.

Finally, the slot above the CD/DVD slot is for a SD card. A good size one of those will store many many albums. (I had over 1200 on a 64Gb card).
