I've done a silly trick ... I clonked my passenger-side mirror on a post and cracked the indicator lens.
Fortunately the rest of the mirror is undamaged.

- Is it something I can replace without changing the entire mirror ?
- Does anyone have a part number ?
- Is it difficult and is there a "How To".

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

  • Yes
  • No but suggest getting a price from MB before searching other sources. Try this website for part No. enter your VIN to search Mercedes-Benz EPC. Car Mercedes-Benz .
  • Fiddly but doable, search YouTube, there's bound to be a video how to!

Thanks whitenemesis ... That's very helpful.
I'll check it out.
John.

I bought a pair of these for my CLK due to water ingress. Not too bad to change if you're handy and careful.
I found mine on eBay from an MB dealer in Newcastle, they seem to be pretty much trade price including postage, trade isn't that great on electrical items but it will be right.

mercedesbenzofnewcastle on eBay.

Have a look or drop them a message with the reg/VIN. No affiliation as I'm down in Kent but they've been good to me so I'll promote them.

All the best

R

I've made a How To on my channel, virtually the same process:

Here is a video (not mine) showing how to remove, and dismantle the facelift 211 mirror YT link .

Thanks everyone for all your help.
I'll get the part from MB Newcastle and have a go.

And so .... The item arrived as promised today.
Well Done MB of Newcastle.
It even looks like it's the correct part ... and includes two spare screws, for when you drop the ones from the mirror and can't find them.

Success ... Did the job this morning in the sunshine.
It was still cold.
Everything went much better than I dared hope.
The mirror was very similar (although not identical) to the one in killerHERTZ's video.
Tools used as in photo.
I used a very small amount of silicon grease to ease the seal on the lamp unit into position.
Definitely needed the snipe-nosed pliers to remove the little electrical connector from the lamp unit.
Thanks everyone who advised.DSC04067.jpg
