2009 e350 cdi coupe , correct oil ?

I've just bought this car & want to supply my own oil when it goes into the dealer to be serviced (cheaper than buying from them LOL), but want to be sure I'm supplying the correct type & grade of oil for this Diesel engine , I understand it needs to be a low ash type but can anyone tell me the viscosity required & any particular brands that might be recommended ??

Is the info not in the back of your user manual Mark?

Can't help you as I don't have a diesel.

Thanks for the replies guys , much appreciated ......... If I'm honest I read the owners manual when I got the car & it didn't occur to me to look in there again LOL .......I'm such an idiot , thanks again guys
