CLS320 CDI
I'm selling my 2009 Mercedes Benz CLS 320 CDI.

It's very comfortable. Has airmatic with 3 settings. It rides on original 17" MB wheels shod with Michelin Cross Climate all seasons tyres.
These have about 4mm tread left.

This rides as well as a S Class, but relatively cheap to run and much easier to park.

The way I drive it (80-90) I get 40mpg, driven at the limit it'll do 700 miles to the tank.
I run it on Shell VPower gas to liquid fuel, it's a lot cleaner and almost soot free, so the DPF is very clean.
  • Designo platinum black
  • 3.0 turbo diesel
  • 7 Speed automatic
  • 125000 miles
  • Airmatic (air suspension front and rear)
  • Black leather interior
  • Heated and cooled seats
  • DAB radio
  • Front and rear parking sensors work fine

Not ULEZ

Maintenance
It's had :
  • two struts (airmatic)
  • replacement air compressor (airmatic)
  • DPF sensor replacement
  • AC condensor
  • Central prop shaft bearing 2020
  • new battery 2021
  • recent washer jets 2023

It gets serviced once a year usually, apart from around covid times. Always MB oil and MB oil filter.
Got the invoices for the parts.
Mann or equivalent air filters etc.

MOT due in mid January 2024

Interior is presentable, the leather is lovely still. The silver around the cupholders is flaking off.

Things to note
  • It's picked up quite a few life marks most panels. There's a line (split) along the rear bumper about 10cm long, gained at Sainbury's car park.
  • The headlights could do with a polish.
  • The airmatic works, but gives an error. The code says the compressor isn't quick enough. It's been like that for the last 6 months.
  • The wheels probably need balancing, as there is a vibration around 80, I go a little faster and it goes away.
  • The offside drivers mirror housing is missing a piece, another souvenir from someone getting too close, glass is intact, the blinker still blinks.
  • Offside rear tyre has a slow puncture, I top it up once a week.
  • The sunroof works, but requires the button pressed to close fully, been like that since I've had it.
  • All four wheels are herbed and marked.

Photos when I get a chance to wash the car.

£2200

electric memory seats work fine as do the windows

A boot protector has been in use

Cup holders with the silver bits flaking

Rear brake disk (the other side is similar)

Front brake disk (the other side is similar)

This is the distance I can do on a full tank of Shell V Power GTL diesel.
You can see, almost 700 miles.

Thanks for all your interest. Car is now sold to a nice chap that didn't call me bruv or try to low ball me.
He understood it's an 14 yo car that has been looked after and does have some niggles and I'd taken the issues into account in the pricing.

For a previous car, Audi S3, one chancer turned up and wanted a discount because he couldn't think of or find any issues - his reason? It had a powerful engine plus the 4WD made it thirsty.
