2010 5 speed Auto

On a few occasions my c250cdi Auto has had a very strange issue:

As i accelerate the engine is revving but the car is only actually moving a little bit (very little torque), then eventually it changes to second gear and moves as normal.

Today I manage to manually change into into second gear using the padels.

Its almost like the first gear is slipping Or the torque is not being passed to the wheels? This happens on first start up, on a cold morning.

Should I be concerned?

Car is on 76k and just had a gearbox service.

Who did the service? Take it back and have them check the fluid level very carefully, following the correct procedure. The symptoms strongly suggest low fluid.

Is there any trace of a leak from the box?

I will have to check the car after work, the work was carried out by a Mercedes specialist.

You may have a gearbox oil leak. It could be lack of fluid for whatever reason.
