Was poking about in the menus yesterday and found ILS but when I tries to turn it on it told me that "ILS is not configured for right hand drive".

Que?

Had a closer look.

If I set the dipped beam to the LHD setting I can turn ILS on and off.

If I set dipped back to RHD it tells me that ILS is inactive as it's not congured for RHD.

Anyone seen this? Maybe this is a STAR coding thing?

I think the RHD, LHD thing refers to the side of the road one drives on, not the side the steering wheel is on. So, correct for the UK. If you drive on the Continent ILS is disabled

Hmm....found a suggestion on another forum. The fellahs there are saying that in Merc-speak "LHD" means "driving on the left" rether than "steering wheel on the left".

Hope that's the answer as I'd like to try out my ILS.

Can anyone confirm?

(i'll also look in the manual).

I think WN is correct. Whenever EPC refers to LHD or RHD it always states LH-traffic (driving on the left) for the UK, which is RHD. Good old MB
