Does anyone know a garage in West Wales with vediamo?

I went to the main dealer today to scn code the rear SAM for heated seats retrofit but they didn't know how to do it.
I'm hoping to find somewhere else that has vediamo, I have the code that needs to be changed.

Also does anyone know if I can just swap a rear SAM from a car that has heated seats without any coding?

Cheers

Can't help because the heated seats were professionally retrofitted by www.comandonline.co.uk who have STAR etc, and they have also SCN coded them to the Datacard on VeDOK.

But I am surprised that the dealer couldn't do it. Did you use MB original parts when retrofitting? Heating pads, and new switch panel?

Also, are we talking about heated ftont seats? If so, don't they connect to the front SAM rather than to the rear SAM?

As for replacing the SAM... a second hand SAM might have other option missing, so will need coding to the car anyway.

Yes all original parts,complete seats,switches,wiring.

Yes front seats and they connect to the rear SAM.Pins 7&8 on connector 7I.

If a second hand SAM has all the options including heated seats does it still need to.be coded?

I don't know the answer to that, just to say that in my case the Datacard was updated so my original SAM was retained.

But even if the answer is 'No', you'd have to be extremely lucky to find a second-hand SAM from a car that had exactly the same options as yours (there are dozens of options) plus the heated seats.

By the sound of it, you're just one STAR session away from completing the project. All you need do if find a friendly dealer or specialist who are willing to SCN code it for you.

Second-hand rear SAMs go on eBay from £30-£100, so rather than buying one (or more) and try them out, just get yours coded... whereabouts are you?

I don't think this requires Vediamo, I think it's just straightforward SCN coding with STAR (which will also update the Datacard, i.e. in case you need to replace the SAM in future for whatever reason), but this will require online access to MB. Anyway, as long as the chap knows what he's doing it should be fine.
