Hi all,
83k miles, I'm looking for gbp14.5k (bought for 16k and spent around 4k since July )
it's with a heavy heart that I'm looking to swap my w212 e63 saloon and e93 BMW M3 for an s213 E63s estate (that has the options and mileage I've been seeking for a long time so I'm looking to move quickly). I'd have kept the 6.2l for a long time if the boot was just that bit bigger and could fit all our luggage but it isn't quite enough.
The car runs perfectly, and since I bought in July, it has had the following done :
New rear subframe, new brake lines, transmission service , new engine and transmission mounts, new fuel injectors, spark plugs, rear diff service etc,. It has an MOT till October, only advisory is rear tyres related. The paintwork is in great condition as is the interior.
Factory Options are extensive and cost around gbp17k and include:
A. Driver assistance pack : Distronic adaptive cruise control (note blind spot assist needs a new rear sensor for that to work )
B. Dynamic seats , heated , cooled, massaging and dynamic inflation during cornering
C. External carbon fibre pack
D. Performance Pack (better handling than standard with tweaked suspension etc )
E. AMG LSD locking diff
F. Night vision
G. Blu tooth integration
H. Reversing camera
G. Rear windscreen blind
Etc

I'll be looking for a sale price around 14k which is only slightly higher than the motorway.co.uk quotes and around 6k less than I paid for and spent on maintenance in the short space of time I bought it.
One alloy has a little bit of historic scuffing, the refurb work done on the wheel peeled off 2 days after I bought the car! It's very minor so will be cheap and easy to rectify. One tpms sensor is missing and my mechanic has it ready for fitting. Plenty of brake rotor and pads left, they won't need replacing for along time.

Having driven 4 models of e63, the 6.2l feels better to drive than the 213 with no weird AWD torque steer and better steering feel, definitely more engaging and fun than my 5.5l and far more dynamic than the w211. but the boot space is just not enough for 4 large suitcases and I can't find any 6.2l estates with the performance related options this one has so I'm moving to the s213 estate platform which has a few good AMG estates currently on the market.
Pictures to follow shortly ...

Car is probably going on Friday on motorway which is a shame but someone can have it for the motorway val of £13k as I'm not keen to give it to one of those guys when an enthusiast will appreciate the car a lot more

PRICE DROP £12.5K ( car goes 14th Feb)

Hi all
By way of update, I've pulled the trigger on an s213 e63s estate which I'm looking to "pick up" on Friday 14th Feb. Yes that was probably the worst pun you'll see for a long time. And yes its cheaper to maintain than my gold digger mistress ... so there, two dad jokes for the price of one. After some umming and ahhhing regarding whether to keep this car or my e93 M3, the story I told my wife was we could enjoy the roof down in late spring early summer so the m3 is staying for now even though it's way inferior to the 6.2.

So if you want to get your hands on this beauty at a throw away price then give me a shout. Took it for a long drive today and it's an absolute joy to drive. Stuck the adaptive cruise on for all the 50mph roadworks sections, works amazingly well for such an old car, had the massaging seats and dynamic seats squeezing my love handles , the sound between 2 and 3k revs on the motorway, just a joy. Brilliant sound system, even fed DIY-Kitchens address into its NAV and it worked (noting no traffic updates ) Had an audi S4 do a mini race and showed him why this engine is my favourite.

Would have kept it long term but the car I'm buying has only 25k miles on it , an estate with distronic and heads up display, performance exhaust ofcourse, prefacelift June 2018 model. 4 year warranty to the value of the car... i just couldn't resist such a package. 😬

Cheers

It's with a lot of reluctance that I let that w212 go today. Thanks to all who viewed the thread and got in touch, it is very much appreciated. That 6.2 w212 is such a beast of a car, I'm so grateful i got to own it for a few months. It definitely is a real stand out vehicle in every way. I hope it finds a great driveway one day
