How do I disable the headlamp delay on my E350CDi? By that, I mean where they come on when I unlock the doors, and then stay on when I lock them?
I can't find anything in the handbook - am I right in thinking I'll have to switch from auto on the light switch to stop it happening, or is there another way?

Pete

On my W212, I go into the light settings through the steering wheel controls. You then go to lighting. And scroll up and down untill you land on delayed lighting. Using the arrows and ok button on steering wheel. I hope you understand my methods.👍

I think you have to go into the convenience settings using the steering wheel controls to turn off that feature Pete.

Edit.........beaten to it:D

Thanks chaps! I did look at the 'lights' settings - the only delay I saw (I think!) was interior lights. Ill check again in the morning.

Pete
There's no obvious way to disable it, just 'interior light delay'!

Pete

Out of interest, why do you want to disable it?

I rather like the idea of being able to disable functions I've got no use for! Apart from anything else, when the headlights are on, because of the way I park at home, they shine straight into the living room of the house opposite.....and their blinds are invariably open....!

Pete

It's in the Settings>Light sub-menu.

Scroll through and switch off "Surround lighting"
