Hi all,
I've had an occurrence of lack of power and clunky changing down into 1st, on scanning with my cheap tool this revealed codes P2453 and P2463. This was at first accompanied by a CEL, which went out on the next journey and the fault didn't reoccur at all on the one after.
Hopefully this means there is a non-serious accumulation of soot in the DPF - I would hope so as the car does plenty of motorway miles! It has recently been running hot, which was solved with a new thermostat, so I wonder if this has played a part.
I will take it to a garage next week but this weekend I am driving to Scotland and will let it have plenty of revs once warmed up in the hope it clears it out a bit. My question is - has anyone had much luck with adding so-called DPF cleaners, such as Redex or Wynne's? I thought they may be worth a try for a few quid if they might solve the issue.
