2011 Mercedes c250
Hi, sorry if this isn't the right section to post in.
I purchased an automatic C250 (2012 i think) about 5 weeks ago, ran perfectly for a couple of weeks.

Car suddenly had seemed really slow at moving up the gears, power seemed to be lacking. Pulled over googled it, said to reset transmission so did that seemed to work fine for a few days, although seemed hard to start in mornings, went out and car didn't seem to up the gears or drop back down. Pulled over at the garage and car wouldn't start for ages... took car home.
Next day put car into garage, had new battery fitted as it was ancient and under performing. Car now starts fine, however if you say drove to the end of the road turned car off it would take forever to start again. Cars driving ok until you get to 3000 rpm then car goes into limp mode.
Garage have changed: Fuel rail pressure regulator and high pressure pump valve, replaced fuel pipe as had a slight crack in, based on their diagnostics.... however still having same issue.... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as feeling really frustrated at present

Has the garage done a STAR diagnosis, read the error codes?
Or are they just guessing?

What procedure did you use to reset the transmission?
Adaptions can only be reset using STAR, not something to do at the roadside..

Took it to our local mechanic as worried about driving the thing.. he put on diagnostics machine first and was working through the codes etc I would assume.. as repaired then tested then repaired next code etc, he generally doesn't know what else to do now. He did suggest that having it remapped would reset the system as such (not his exact words but how he explained it) it did day about the fuel pressure, so that was fully looked at, replaced fuel pipe and the sensor listed in thread cleaned out manifold etc

Procedure Reset Transmission Adaptive Learning DIY
  1. Turn the key to position 2. You should see all the dash lights come on. ...
  2. Press the gas pedal all the way. ...
  3. Wait. ...
  4. Turn key to OFF, position 0. ...
  5. Release the gas pedal.
  6. Wait 2 minutes. ...
  7. Start the car and drive.

That re-set doesn't do anything other than re-setting the throttle flap.

You need some proper diagnosis done with a Star. I've had a back pressure sensor fail causing this issue and also a set of injectors. STOP bolting parts to it and get a Mercedes specialist or dealer to look at it. It will save you ££ in the long run.

I've booked it in for Tuesday with mercedes so will see what happens

Presumably you bought the car from a private seller (I.e. not from a trader)?
