E200 CDI 2011 W212
Been looking to see how much it would cost to get the Glow Plug Relay repaired / replaced on a 2011 E200 CDI W212 series.

It appears that the OEM part is Beru.

Beru Parts Catalogue:
eCatalogue | Federal-Mogul Global Aftermarket

Part No:
Beru: GSE111
Mercedes: A6511530279 (A 651 153 02 79, 651 153 02 79)

Can't find used part on sale online anywhere!

1. Is there a model that has superseded this part number?
2. What is the cheapest it can be had new?
3. Worth getting it reconditioned?
4. Worth ripping it open and trying DIY solder repair?
5. Any guidance on how to access the part? Is it DIY'able?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

So my research had led me to expect that the Glow plug relay on my car would have been:

Mercedes Part No: A6511530279 (A 651 153 02 79) - As per Beru Parts Catalogue (Beru GSE111)

Mercedes Part No: A6519000900 (A 651 900 09 00) - As per part on car

So anyone guide me as to which part Numbers supersede which? Who manufacturers the part for my car? Beru parts catalogue does not recognise the Mercedes part number on my car.

Any guidance appreciated.

I've searched for Mercedes part number A6519000900 (A 651 900 09 00), as found in my car, but cannot identify the manufacturer of this Glow Plug Control unit. It appears not to be Beru or Bosch, as per respective online parts catalogue's.

I rang Mercedes and for this part number they quoted me a vat inclusive price of £105. Tbh, this is less then I expected.

However, I would like to know if there is a way of getting a new OEM part for less? Or finding out the manufacturer or list of superseded part number?

[Mercedes wanted £266.40 for an O2 sensor for my car. I got the same Bosch product for £70.]
