2012 Brabus Rocket 800
German tuner Brabus will be bringing this 2012 Brabus Rocket 800, based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS, to the Frankfurt motor show tomorrow for an official debut.
For the Rocket 800, the V12 on the CLS gets dialed up to 800 PS (588 kW / 789 hp) while torque has been limited to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) - but the engine is capable of producing 1,420 Nm (1047 lb-ft). Transmission is the 7-speed AMG Speedshift MCT which allows the Rocket 800 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph). The car makes it to the 300 km/h (186 mph) mark in 23.8 seconds.
On the outside is a body kit which includes the large air intakes that reworked power plant is going to need, as well as the usual fittings with widening wheel arches that big rear wing.
Wheels are the lightweight Brabus Monoblock F Platinum Edition and the cabin also gets an ultra-luscious finish.
Price on this ultimate sedan: €429,000, not including taxes.
