2012 C-Class Coupe Spy Shots

The first spy photos of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe have been captured in Europe. The car will replace the CLK in the Mercedes lineup beginning next year.

At last! A proper W204 Coupe!

So the c-coupe & e-coupe both share the same platform.. hmm..

This does look extremely bland though.. i like class and elegance, but this doesnt even have a spark for me :(

but good find!

i think its supposed to when its being road tested. but i know exactly what you are saying. maybe when the star is chromed and shiny and the lights are not masked. il reserve judgement for it unveiling ;)

It doesn't look bad to me, although it does have a taste of the American market about it's shape... Side on it's a little like a Volvo too :S

It's also going to replace the CLC which, in my opinion is a cracking looking car, particularly in the sport derivative with 18" wheels. This car looks too much like the BMW 3 series coupe, but probably not as good.

I like it. I love the front of the 204, especially in 'Sport' trim but have never been that sold on its rump, so hopefully the coupe will be a big improvement on that.

Looks like it could be a mild facelift to the front, but the rump looks unchanged.

It looks like the BMW 1 series coupe, just a little odd looking, like the old days with the 3 door Ford Sierra....

um.. what do you do for a living? im sure ur a auto spy ;)

good snaps.. now please find me a CLS interior :)

From the pictures I'm guessing that it's not a hatchback, which is disappointing as I was hoping it might replace my Sport Coupe. I suppose I'll have to look into whether the small rear window that was filled in on the CLC, can be fitted to one of the last CLCs.

It's funny, I too like the little rear window; that is the one thing I think is not so good on the CLC!

Yes although it's not that cleart for visibility it does lighten the interior. The CLC instead has a 12+ plastic panel, which for the car I looked at was black, with a black interior and privacy glass resulting in a dingy hole.

C63 AMG COUPE & BLACK SERIES!

According to a recent report, Mercedes will offer an AMG version of the C-Class coupe.

Set to go on sale next year, the C63 AMG Coupe will feature a 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 and a seven-speed MCT transmission. While the current unit produces 451 hp (336 kW / 457 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque, an Autocar source said Mercedes is "...looking to up the power beyond that of today's C63 AMG. It's safe to say it will be the most powerful of the three (when compared to the BMW M3 / Audi RS5)."

More importantly, the company will offer optional performance package which will enable the V8 to produce approximately 480 hp (358 kW / 487 PS).

If that doesn't float your boat, Mercedes is also developing a C63 AMG Coupe Black Series. Details are limited, but expect a release in 2012 or 2013.
