2012 CLS 350 cdi blueffieiency mpg

My 2014 (9G) CLS350d SB - did 35.7 mpg average over 14,000 miles - best was about 44mpg. Would do 29mpg on the school run from cold - 10 mile round trip. Generally I was seeing about 42 mpg on a steady M6 / M5 cruise
My cls on the day of buying had still in memory average from the whole mileage, 55000, and very similar as yours 35.6
Next fueling - shell V power

Do you still have cls?
I'm from Peterborough and bought mine just over 2 weeks ago, had not much chance to drive of town much, and my average is 28.. Damn, haha
Next time I'll try v power shell, luckily locally to me.

Yep, still got it, and still loving it after over two years of ownership.

Will this help? I have an SLK (250 TDi) which I was using V power in. My mpg around town was about 40-42 mpg. I told my main dealer, who said it was a waste of money and I should use regular diesel, did so and my figures went UP to 44-45 mpg (all top up tank figures) Go figure?

Hello, I'm new to the forum and have just entered the merc world again by buying a used 2012 CLS 350 cdi blueffieiency amg line with just over 25k miles and a recent oil service. I've loved the styling and drive of this car for.a while so.went for it.
However I'm disappointed with the mpg and wanted some other opinions.... Looking in forums and reviews.real life, forgetting the merc official stats, seem to return about 42mpg combined for this car. However I'm getting around 30-34 combined, and maybe 45 on a longer run. To be honest this is a lot lower than I expected.and economy is part of the reason I went for the diesel.
What are others experience or opinions on this one. Any feedback is appreciated. Other than tyre pressure which is fine I can't think of any causes.there are no errors showing.
Thanks in advance.
I have been getting 42 on a run 34 over all that's on a 2012 350

My E350 used to get about 40mpg combined before the emissions update, on mixed driving

Now I do mostly motorway miles and I average about 36mpg, and I really do go slowly on the motorway, I’m talking 60-65 on cruise. I can still get very high 40s if not break into the 50s on a slow motorway drive under the right conditions. Huge difference in doing 65 and 75-80 in terms of mpg

Mine is a 231bhp variant and I have the Brabus D6 tuning box, which seemingly makes no difference to MPG.

I can get more than that in my C200 Petrol. The highest I have seen is 46.8mpg and that is driving it normally, for me that is. On a cross country road to my Daughter’s I regularly see 44+mpg. No point in having diseasal :)

The highest I’ve seen on mine is about 54mpg, door to door, London to Cardiff, post emissions update

And it has 600nm of torque and is a heavier, bigger e-class

So, I win
