Multi-contour seats are the ones with the thumb wheel controls on the side, with adjustable lumbar, side bolsters etc. via air chambers, as std. on the Sport but optional on the SE. 409 was/is the code when listed as an option and, presumably, would show in the build code for a Sport as they were std. equipment.
At the time of this writing, five recalls have been issued on the 2012 E-Class. One concerns the fuel filter leaking. The other four all address air bags, which may rupture, deploy at the wrong time, fail to deploy, or deflate too quickly. Make sure these recalls have been resolved before buying this vehicle.
