Hi. Has anybody had any problems with vibration at motorway speeds in an ML???
5 weeks ago I bought a facelift 2012 ML350 and between 60-90 mph am experiencing a vibration/shudder through the car.
So far Kwikfit have replaced 3 tyres saying they are out of shape and balanced all 4 wheels on two separate occasions - all to no avail.
Taken into local Mercedes dealer twice who have also reset the balancing on both occasions and still to no avail.
Any ideas ??

I had bad vibrations at motorway speeds a while back (there's a topic here somewhere on it). Turned out to be a buckled wheel. Wheel was repaired and it has been fine since.

PS it's worth seeking the advice of someone who knows what they're doing - my local garage had previously balanced the wheels and told me that the front nearside wheel was dented, but it was tiny, too small to repair and not something I would notice. The specialist I then took it to told me the wheels were totally out of balance and the buckle was really big and the cause of the vibrations!

We have had trouble with our 2011 GL, the vibration was worst at around 70mph
Our local dealer has replaced the prop shaft, engine mounts and a bucked wheel but the vibration is still evident through the steering wheel. I am still not happy with the vehicle and they have agreed to buy it back.
I had a test drive of a 2015 GL this morning and that was worse, it's a shame as they are such a nice car and is ideal for our family's transport needs.
Does anyone have any other ideas for a cure? The dealers are now telling us that it's a characteristic of this particular model.

Thanks
John

I had the same issue on my 2012 ML350 and it turned out to be 4 slightly buckled wheels, this took 4 wheel balances and 3 days in the dealer to diagnose.

Just an update to this. Now had all 4 road wheels replaced with brand new.

And it still does it..........

Such a shame as I love the car. Somebody suggested I need to have the drive shafts balanced.

Is that even a thing ??!!

Having similar issues for the last year with my Class. Try checking bearings and thrust control arms/ ball joint play
