Hi,

Does anybody have a part number for the rear subframe?

The reg is N27SMM.

Just had an MOT failure, I have contacted Mercedes but no answer (as of yet).

Any help is much appreciated.

You dont need it.

MB will replace it FOC. Just go in there with the car and leave it with them.

100%? Because I’ve heard stories of them replacing FOC but also they haven’t replaced them.

My car has no service history as I’ve done it all myself and the car has done 192k it’s 2013.

Mercedes at Doncaster has confirmed they will do it FOC, I may need to pay for new rear arms as they can be seized in.

They'll also charge you for the bolts, but that's to be expected.

And I suggest that you ask then to check the condition of all the bushes and the brake lines.

The car has also had a free health check and has passed, nothing else has been picked up.

I had the brake lines replaced around 2 years ago.

Is that a recent change of heart from Mercedes?.....because they rejected a friend 212 E63 because, after warranty, it had all its services at indies and had missed a couple of services through lack of use (illness) and COVID. That was about a year ago though.....

No idea but I’m grateful. I have no service history as I do it all myself and the car has done 192k.

The MoT tester recommended that I rang Mercedes and I was doubtful at first. They got me in today for an inspection and they put the case forward and Mercedes have authorised straight away.

I will have the car back within 2 weeks.

Thats reassuring.........mine looks pretty solid though. Being Southern car it whole life must help.
