Hi,
N.B. This vehicle has a Stage 1 Avon Tune.
2013 Mercedes Vito 113CDi
I had the engine management light come on, and it reverted to Limp Mode. a few weeks ago and took it in to my local garage (non Mercedes Specialist) to take a look and run their SnapOn Diagnostics on it.
The error pointed to the DPF Sensor so they replaced this and carried out a regeneration as it was showing as 103% full, apparently.
They don't have the reading following the regeneration but said that it was under 6 grammes, if that helps.
The light went out and I took the van away but, after about 50 miles of around town driving, the light came on again, and it reverted to Limp Mode.
They ran further diagnostics and the current fault code is:
P0471-62 Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor has a malfunction. Signal comparison is faulty Current/pending/stored
They don’t have the original fault code but he’s sure that it was not P0471 and the text was different (so presumed to be a different fault).
Further investigation and a wiring check show a voltage of 0.6 which, according to SnapOn machine should be between 0.0 and 0.2 volts on the No.2 pin (black wire)
The garage suspects it to be a DPF back pressure issue which Mercedes would have to check for certain.
Anything that you can suggest before I see the dealer on Monday?
I’m even contemplating reverting to standard mapping in case that resolves things.
Cheers
Steve
