2013 (R172) SLK Cornering Light Bulb Replacement

Hi

Does anyone have any experience with replacing the cornering bulb on a R172 SLK? I eventually managed to get the bulb out using grips (it was a nightmare), but I now can't get it to lock back into the housing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

having contemplated the same on my S212 have concluded you need needle nose fingers and 2 elbows so have decided to ignore it until Winter or I can be bothered to remove the light unit

Can’t help specifically with the SLK , but I changed both fog light units on my E class a couple of years ago and swapped the bulbs without any issues that I remember .
When I had problems changing the headlight bulb on the CLK I was at my wits end until I thought to check the cars manual . A minute late it was in , who knew
