Hi my rear light cluster isnt working drivers side the brake light works n indicator works but no main light

any ideas

please

Have you checked the bulb? - correct replacement type.

Got a meter? Check you have voltage at holder?

Check holder for corrosion/cracks.

Check Earth point for corrosion, undo it, copperslip, redo it.

Then it’s checking loom for damage.

Hopefully it’s not like the front units people are now finding that need the whole unit changed for £1k :wallbash:

Surely there has to be a market for someone to refurb/fix these, LEDs are actually cheap as chips (pun intended).

I hit the light this morning and it came on but gone out again
Ive just took it out off the car and found screws if i open these will it come apart

If it is indeed the one on the boot lid, it is a fairly common issue across the range! Only just replced my unit on the ML (couldn't use the repair method in the link provided) and now he other side has gone out!

Anyway, have a read here:

W212 Facelift rear LED fault

Apologies, but you replied whilst I was typing, so I probably don't make much sense!

Yea rsad that one to but mine doesnt look the same but it has 3 torx screws just wondering if its openable to fix
