2014 E63 Estate CAT N - Does anybody know this car?

My first question would be why was it paid out on if recovered within 2 hours as that suggests crash damage with insurers writing the car off due to uneconomic repair - quite easy to do with one of these if a few panels are bent so have a trained eye look at the car if you do go for it.

My second question would be how much to change the keys etc. just in case the original thieves cloned one or kept one.

My only comment is that anyone asking £1,000 deposit for a test drive would be walked away from by me as I regard that sort of dealership to be "not the best".

Depends on the circumstances it was recovered under. It may have been found in 2 hours, but then been subject to evidence in criminal proceedings for some time afterwards. The insurers would have paid the claim and then taken possession of the car once the police handed it back.

That wagon is the definition of perfection.

Yeah nice car
The grand to test drive maybe because of insurance reasons. Doesn't look like they're asking for a deposit to drive the other cars theyve got for sale.

Mind you I wouldn't even look at this, you'll.never know what's been covered up until you buy it.
I've done this in the past when I purchased a stolen recovered and had problem after problem.

Four previous owners in six years isn't the best advert, nor is a company which can't even spell its own name properly!

Also the most expensive car they have for sale - 70% more than the next one. Suggests they are not used to - and perhaps ill-equipped to - deal with such a specialist machine.

Front bumper alignment looks a little off on the O/S
Back seat shows a fair bit of wear
Drivers door card is filthy
Centre console scuffed and poorly aligned

General description is a bit clunky..."Great car drives beautiful there is no offers on this car we don’t need no part exchange" -

Also states "Omit Model Designation on Wings" but I can see the V8 badges - maybe it has had new wings??

Sloppy ad:
  • "Designo Metallic Paint-Graphite
  • Metallic Paint - Diamond White
  • Designo Magno Paint-Allanite Grey
  • Omit Model Designation
  • Designo Magno Paint-Cashmere White"
What's that all about? It's taxed at the moment, too, which is unusual for an insurance write-off being sold by a dealer.

What would really ring alarm bells for me, though, if it is correct, is: " ....... we don’t need no part exchange , Cash transfers or card payment..." If that means cash only, no chance, but it may be that the first comma in the quote should be a full stop, so probably I'm being unfair.

And for pedants like me, the grammatically correct sense of the statement is actually "we need part exchange"...

If I were looking for one, I'd take a body shop pro with me for an opinion, and if he was happy it hadn't had body repair I'd probably take a chance and buy it. I'm not, though; been there, done that, got the points on the licence...

Nice car.

Looks like the rear has had 2 child's seats fitted for quite a long time.

Agree, the drivers door card is absolutely filthy, why they haven't cleaned it is anyones guess.

But an awful lot of car for not too much money, if I was in the market for one I would go and have a look at it.

Trading from this house , maybe cars taxed as no forecourt? Loads of traders like that in Ilford , I wouldn't go near it tbh

Pretty sure that’s where I bought my X5 from. The one that cut out and broke down 4 times on the way home. The one where, when it first broke down some 5 minutes from his house, his phone was switched off and then never replied to anything.

Separate to that, being called “Car Trader’s” is at least worth a chuckle’s.

If I was you I wouldn’t entertain it. The way the vehicle is written up in the advert is enough to ring alarm bells. £1000 deposit and produce your own insurance- are they having a laugh.
Check out the other vehicles advertised on their site. Ignore and find another would be my suggestion.

Plenty of suckers out there so.....................

The reality is that it’s not cheap enough to be worth the risk. The car has an uncertain history and an insurance marker against it to boot, and the dealer doesn’t inspire confidence. Time to look elsewhere.

Ontop of the other issues...
1. says cooled seats, no they are not the centre console is missing the extra buttons. 2. And it's says its 4 wheel drive. UK cars are not 4matic.

Looks like you will meet a kicking and be robbed on that one.

If i was brave I’d call the vendor and see how far through the list of issues i could got before he hung up...

Those plastic wind detectors set off alarm bells for me. I struggle to understand would fit then on a car like that and why.
