Looking at getting one of these, few questions to owners etc..

Do they come with magic body control - camera scans road ahead and adjusts suspension and curve tilt control as standard in the 63 coupe? How comfortable is the suspension - noticeably better than older C63s?

Any common faults to look out for and is MB warranty recommended?

How should these fare in terms of depreciation if mileage is low etc?

Magic Body Control and the Curve mode are standard. I’ve never been in a C63.

I looked for common faults and struggled to find anything on UK sites for the S63 Coupé. As in positive or negative. I presume many of the owners don’t post. There are at least two owners on here as far as I’ve seen.

Prices are all over the place. I decided main dealer and two year warranty made sense. I was looking at the cheaper end of the market, but got a 2016 with 24k miles for the price of some 2014 cars.

They often say ‘fully loaded’ or all the extras, when they are not. Take a closer look if there are features you really want to have.

Good luck.

Do the 2017 cars have any differences from the 2014 cars? Car doesn’t seem to have air scarf but does have the 5 buttons beside steering wheel inc night vision etc.. any specific options I should be looking out for?

I noticed airscarf wasn’t there on earlier cars. There are six buttons to the right with all options.

You’ll need to work out what you really must have. I use the HUD all the time and wanted the seats to be ventilated as well as heated. I wanted the rear blind, but didn’t get that. Got the heated rear seats, but lost the heated wheel due to an upgrade when the car was specified.

I have the hands free access for the boot. I’d like it more if it worked all the time.

Then there are cosmetic things like night package, red callipers, illuminated cill plates. There are different types of leather for the interior.

Then there’s black or white for the paint. Other colours hardly crop up.

Hi there, I have an S63 coupe and literally decided this weekend to sell it, it's been a fabulous car and loved every minute of ownership (has many extras such as night vision, pan roof, rear blind, cameras all of over the place, HUD etc). Magic Body Control comes standard as mentioned and the ride is a lot nicer than any other AMG I have owned (SL55, C63, E63....) I was unaware air scarf was available on coupes, only the convertibles (had it on my M4 cab, didn't really work that well being honest)..... PM me if you want to chat.

Chris

That makes sense to me. The point of the air scarf is to keep your neck warm when you have the roof down.

Surprised so soon, but what is next?

This is actually the longest I have ever kept a car (running joke with the family!), its been 9 months! I'm missing roof down driving so tempted to go for a v10 S Tronic R8 Spyder, need to drive one first before committing, I keep looking at the S63 and thinking i'm mad for wanting to rid! Scared of putting it up for sale and regretting it!

I know what you mean as I’m in the same position with my CLS63, but not sure what next. The S63 is high up on the list though.

Good luck with your next car. I think once you start thinking about changing, then it’s only a matter of time.....
