Evening,

Just taken my 2015 E400 Cab to National tyres thinking I had a slow puncture in rubber or valve of front wheel.

Turns out the Alloy as a fine crack so need a new one.

MB have quoted £712.

Put search into a few scrapyards and awaiting replies.

A set of 4 new non MB wheels can be had starting at £700.

Any one on here got a spare wheel rim.

Or advice on repairing wheel which at the moment not keen on doing.

TIA
Regards
David

Why not have it welded?

Sorry to drag this up but I was in the same situation in February 2020 where MOT highlighted a cracked alloy.

How did the welded alloy hold up? Any issues?
If your looking for another front alloy as a spare let me know

Hi dave400 from another dave400
So far so good no problems
I have got into the habit when setting off going to tyre pressure monitor and again so far, touch wood, the pressures stay same.
It went thro mot in Jan 2020 no problems
Hope it remains so.
Regards
David

Thanks for the reply and good news on the wheel repair
Enjoy the summer
