2015 viano w639 windscreen wiper issue.

Hi all,

I’ve just bought myself a 2015 viano 3.0CDI and I’m working my way through the various bits and bobs wrong with it.

One thing on the list is the front wipers. When I first picked it up a few weeks back they worked on all settings except the fastest one.

Now they basically have a mind of their own!

When switching the van on, the wipers will begin a cycle, then just stop wherever they want.

The same thing happens on all settings.

Has anyone experienced this and what was the culprit?

1st stop for me would be to see if water has got into the working of the motor, specifically the electrical contacts.

After that I suppose it could be the switch cluster, but I would think the SAM is the 2nd most likely.
